Mission of Zamorano Agricultural Society

Zamorano Agricultural Society (ZAS) is an LSU graduate student and alumni organization whose members focus on providing research-based solutions to the current issues in agricultural sciences. ZAS serves as a liaison between its members, LSU, Zamorano and other institutions interested in seeking to establish sinergystic relationships. ZAS aims to contribute to the welfare of its members, Louisiana, USA and Latin America.

 

The Values of Zamorano Agricultural Society

  • Labor Omnia Vincit (Hard work overcomes any obstacles).

  • Teamwork benefits everybody.

  • Organizational capacity is the beginning of the nations' development.

  • To serve is an art.


Goals

  • To serve as an information center for Zamorano alumni interested in post-graduate studies at LSU

  • Graduate School or to conduct agricultural research in collaboration with the LSU AgCenter.

  • To promote social activities among the Zamorano colleagues in Louisiana State University and A&M College.

  • To fortify the agriculture and cultural relations between the Zamorano and Louisiana State University and A&M College.

  • To promote agricultural research programs.

  • To collaborate in the academic and professional development of its members.
