Welcome to the Ice Hockey Club at Louisiana State University. Our goal is to place on ice a competitive team under the guidelines of University Recreation here at LSU. We promote "Safety First" in our practices and games. We encourage all those interested in joining the team to visit the Recruiting link and follow the requested steps.

Great news! University Recreation has approved the LSU Ice Hockey Club as a club sport, and the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) has accepted LSU's application to enter Division 3. This grants our team eligibility for the ACHA national tournament in March. What an exciting time to be a Tiger hockey player!

The Tigers will play 22 games in their inaugural season against some of the best college hockey teams that the south has to offer. We would like to encourage all of our loyal Tiger hockey fans to attend our home games.

BATON ROUGE La., A group of students, all with a love for hockey, had a common interest in forming an ice hockey team at LSU. In March, 2007, they gathered together at Leo's Iceland for an exhibition game against Tulane. In all, 21 skaters from LSU attended, most meeting for the first time that day. When the Zamboni cleared the ice for the final time, the scoreboard illuminated the final score with the LSU players victorious over the veteran Tulane club, 9 to 2. This marked the beginning of Ice Hockey at LSU. The Green Wave rebounded and defeated LSU in the second scheduled exhibition game, but Tiger excitement for next year only grew.

The LSU Ice Hockey Club is a non-profit organization interested in bringing the great game of hockey to the LSU and Baton Rouge communities. Financial support would be greatly appreciated.
