Welcome!

The History Graduate Student Association at Louisiana State University (HGSA) exists to foster an academic, professional, and social community among the graduate students in the Department of History.  In order to meet this goal, we work with the Department of History to provide graduate students with opportunities for academic and professional development in the form of meetings, seminars, conferences, and social gatherings.

All graduate students registered with the Department of History are automatically considered members of the HGSA.  We hope this website will answer most of your questions about life as a graduate student at LSU, and if you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us.
