Act! Speak! Build! Week 2008
Monday, March 31 to Sunday, April 6

From Habitat for Humanity International's Website:

"What is Act! Speak! Build! Week?
Act! Speak! Build! Week is Habitat’s international, student-initiated week of advocacy. Act! Speak! Build! Week empowers young people to educate themselves and their communities and move people to social action. Young people, ages 5 to 25, work in partnership with local affiliates to plan and host events focused on ending poverty housing."

Habitat for Humanity at LSU is participating in Act! Speak! Build! Week!  Here's what happening from March 31 to April 6!

There will be table sits in front of the LSU Student Union.  Each day, the table sit will have a different theme and facts, so be sure to check us out!

Also, on Wednesday, April 2, we will have a special Habitat for Humanity at LSU meeting.  Our External Relations-Planning and Oversight officer Jake Stowe, Habitat for Humanity of Baton Rouge's Christiaan Long, and Cody Logsdon from Habitat for Humanity International will be giving a series of lectures about poverty housing and what we can do as students to help out.

If you are interested in volunteering at the table sits between Monday and Friday of Act! Speak! Build! Week, contact us for more information.  Volunteers get points for helping out at the table sits.
