Supporting the Army ROTC
Members of Scotch Guard devote many hours to providing support for the men and women of the Army ROTC at LSU. Members provide fruit and juice for the cadets at their monthly PT tests, and also attend Ranger Challenge (an annual competition between ROTC programs of the South) each Fall. Scotch Guard members also attend the annual Veteran's Day assembly, as well as LSU Salutes, which is held every November on the Parade Grounds to honor former LSU students and alum who have served our country in the military. In return for our continued service to the Army ROTC, we are honored every Spring by being invited to attend the Military Ball and Dining In, both of which are military traditions. Other events that we take part in include rappelling down the rappelling tower, and firing on the range.
