Registration
The
S.T.R.I.P.E.S. program is a four-day overnight retreat
designed to prepare first-year students for the
transition to LSU. S.T.R.I.P.E.S. 2010 registration
opens on Thursday, April 1 and closes on Friday, July
16, 2010. Please review
registration information below and all basic information
under the
Participant Information section of the
website before you register.

S.T.R.I.P.E.S. 2010 Dates
Session 1: August 2-5, 2010 (Monday - Thursday)
Session 2: August 9-12, 2010 (Monday - Thursday)
Registration Deadline
Friday, July 16, 2010
Sessions are limited to 300
participants and registration is available on a first
come, first served basis. When a session reaches its maximum
capacity, registration for that session will be closed.
Registration Fee
$200 (subject to change for
2010 program)

The registration fee pays
for a t-shirt, snacks, meals, and
housing for three nights. Participants are required to
stay
overnight in a campus
residence hall for the duration of
the
program.
•
If participants need to
arrive on Sunday evening, they can
pay an additional $35 for temporary housing in
the
Residential College Complex.
Payment
Payments can be made with a
check or money order (payable to the LSU
S.T.R.I.P.E.S.
Program). Please include the student’s name and LSU ID
number on the check or money order. All payments must be
received prior to the start of session one on August 2.

Scholarships
Scholarships are
available on a need basis.
•
Students interested in
being considered must complete the
Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
•
To be considered for a
scholarship, students must register
for STRIPES no later than July 1, 2010.
•
All students must
pay the registration fee. If awarded a
scholarship, it will be placed on the student’s fee bill
as a
reimbursement after both sessions have concluded.
Cancellation Policy
Students wishing to cancel
registration must send an email to
stripes@lsu.edu
with the following information:

Participant full name

ID#

Reason for
cancellation
Refunds
Students wishing to receive
a full refund must cancel registration by Friday, June
25, 2010. Cancellations made from Saturday, June 26
until Friday, July 9, 2010, will result in a 50% refund
of the registration fee. Any cancellations after July 9
will not receive a refund.
