The Louisiana Shakespeare Project wants to put more of 'The Bard' on the bayou!

A joint project of the LSU English Department and Louisiana citizens, this experiential new program is focused on advancing the teaching, performance, scholarship, and appreciation of the world’s most celebrated play-wright.

This program will also serve as a fulcrum to promote and augment the study of Shakespeare & the Renaissance at LSU and extend the resources of Renaissance Studies at Louisiana’s flagship campus into the community. LSP will identify suitable outreach programs, especially in K-12 Schools throughout the state,and create a series of film, lecture, and travel events around productions of Shakespeare’s plays.
