Charmaine Borne

Photo: Charmaine BorneCharmaine Borne is a native of the New Orleans metropolitan area and graduated high school from Archbishop Chapelle High School in Metairie, Louisiana. After high school, Charmaine moved to Baton Rouge to attend Louisiana State University, where she majored in Natural Resource Ecology and Management with a concentration in Wildlife Ecology.

During her time at LSU, Charmaine was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha fraternity and served as the chapter’s Secretary. Charmaine also served as LSU’s Tiger Chapter of Ducks Unlimited Committee Co-Chair and volunteered as a Highland Elementary reading friend.

After graduation, Charmaine began working with Louisiana’s Department of Wildlife and Fisheries as a marine biologist. There she participated in research projects aimed at understanding Louisiana’s coastal ecosystems. She is presently enrolled at LSU’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center. Charmaine is a member of LSU Law’s Public Interest Law Society and The Federalist Society.Charmaine came to SeaGrant at the beginning of her second year to gain a deeper knowledge of Environmental and Coastal law.
