National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM)

National Cyber Security Awareness Month Banner October 1 marks the kickoff of the 11th annual National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM), a global effort among government, corporate, non-profit, and academic sectors to promote online safety awareness. This year's theme is Our Shared Responsibility. The LSU IT Security and Policy Office encourages the community to get involved and do your part to make the Internet safer and more secure for everyone.

  • Share online safety advice and links to resources on Facebook, Google+ and Twitter using the hashtag #NCSAM.
  • Check the STOP. THINK. CONNECT Web site for information about upcoming Twitter chats during NCSAM. Use the hashtag #ChatSTC to join the conversation.
  • Follow & Like the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) on Twitter, Facebook and Google+. NCSA will post tips, resources, and updates throughout October.
