The Louisiana Council for Economic Education (LCEE) is a non-profit, non-partisan organization governed by a Board of Directors. LCEE is affiliated with Council on Economic Education and participates in the EconomicsAmerica and EconomicsInternational Programs. The Council collaborates with university-based centers for economic education, which are also affiliates of the National Council. The partnership strives to meet the needs of teachers by providing training, educational materials and curriculum reform in economics for Louisiana's schools. LCEE strives to partner with school districts to provide them with programs and economic education training and consulting assistance for their teachers and administrators.

To promote geography education in Louisiana, the Louisiana Geography Education Alliance sponsors workshops and conferences for teachers, provides up-to-date geography information and innovative classroom materials and provides a forum where teachers can exchange ideas and classroom techniques.

The Federal Reserve Bank in New Orleans sponsors student-targeted educational activities and teacher training opportunities, ranging from essay contests to teacher workshops.
