Myth: I’m planning for law or graduate school and this will sidetrack me.
Fact: Teacher certification is seen as a plus for entrance to law or graduate school. If you can teach others complicated math or science concepts, you probably understand them very well yourself.

Myth: Getting a degree in English, History or a Foreign Language and certification to teach will take me too long.
Fact: No additional hours are required since elective hours are used for education courses. GeauxTeach participants can still graduate in four years.

Myth: I would be reluctant to consider teaching even in the short-term because teachers aren’t paid very well.
