Did you know that you can earn a certification to teach grades 6 - 12 while you earn a Bachelor degree in Biology,
Chemistry, English, French, History, Mathematics, Physics or Spanish?
This innovative approach to teacher preparation was the result of
unprecedented collaboration among faculty from the Colleges of Arts and Sciences,
Basic Sciences, and
Education at Louisiana State
University.
We would like to thank the National Math and Science Initiative (NMSI) and Exxon Mobil for their generous support through a 2.4 Million dollar UTeach replication grant. We would also like to thank the UTeach program at the University of Texas for creating a model STEM teacher preparation program and the UTeach Institute for their assistance in our replication of the program here at LSU.
