The LSU Rural Life Museum is an outdoor history museum with year-round programs and exhibitions, special group tours for children and adults, heritage classes, family fun and lifelong learning. Your contribution to the LSU Rural Life Museum reinforces your support of our educational and community-oriented goals.

The Friends of the LSU Rural Life Museum is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization which provides volunteer and financial support for the museum’s projects and programs. 

The Friends Board of Directors and the museum's Executive Director oversee the management of the fundraising activities and encourage financial donations from individuals, foundations, families, businesses and corporations.

Become a Friend

Please help support the interpretation of 18th and 19th century rural life and the preservation of artifacts at the LSU Rural Life Museum by becoming a Friend. As a member of The Friends of the LSU Rural Life Museum, you will help:

  • Sponsor special educational programs for the museum.
  • Donate funds for museum acquisitions

Corporate Sponsorship

By becoming a corporate sponsor, you will be added to the distinguished list of corporate supporters that help fund dynamic interpretive programs each year for families and visitors of all ages to enjoy. Through corporate sponsorship, whether for a specific project or a special event, your company will have broad exposure to more than 70,000 individuals who visit the Rural Life Museum each year. Also, as an added benefit, sponsoring companies will receive a specified number of passes for admission to our museum for the program or event of sponsorship.
