Graduate Assistant for Marketing & Communications
The Residential Life Marketing & Communications Graduate Assistant (GA) is a live-on graduate student assistantship responsible for the co-administration of the communication area’s marketing plan. This GA works with the communications staff in the development and implementation of recruitment, communication, and marketing functions that support departmental occupancy and retention goals. Assistantship is currently filled for 2017-18.

 

Graduate Assistant for Tours & Guest Experience
The Residential Life Tours & Guest Experience Graduate Assistant (GA) is responsible for the co-administration of guests’ experiences through on-campus tours and recruitment events. This GA works to hire, manage, and continually develop the departmental tour and recruitment staff to enhance guests’ experiences on daily tours, special visit tours, information fairs, and on- and off-campus recruitment events in support of occupancy goals. Assistantship is currently filled for 2017-18.

 

Application Process

Candidates who are interested in interviewing for any of the communications graduate assistantships for LSU Residential Life should submit a cover letter, resume, portfolio (if applicable) and list of three references to:

Timeline

January 2018 - Application opens. Application reviewing will begin immediately.

February - March, 2018 - Interviews

Candidates may interview in one of three ways:

  1. In Person/Phone/Skype Interview –Interviews will be scheduled on a rolling basis as needed.
  2. The Oshkosh Placement Exchange – Representatives from LSU will be attending the Oshkosh Placement Exchange in Oshkosh, WI February 2018. Candidates who are attending and interested in interviewing with LSU should indicate so in their cover letter, or contact us through the Placement Exchange website.
  3. LSU Student Life & Enrollment Visiting Days – The Division of Student Life & Enrollment hosts an on-campus interview day for students who are interested in attending LSU’s Higher Education Administration Program.

Spring 2018 - Offers 
LSU Residential Life will begin making offers for assistantships in the spring semester. If you have not been admitted to a graduate program by the offer date, then your offer will be pending acceptance into a program.
