The Office of Research & Economic Development provides a range of internal grant opportunities to support research, scholarly and creative activity by LSU faculty. These include travel grants for conferences, data collection and visits to federal agencies, research grant programs to seed emerging interdisciplinary research programs, and equipment repair funds to support shared equipment, instrumentation and technology critical for faculty work.
The Louisiana Board of Regents manages a slew of grant programs (including Enhancement Grants, and NSF EPSCoR programs). The Office of Research & Economic Development also maintains links and funding lists of external grant opportunities, including from federal agencies. LSU is also a subscriber to the SPIN grants database, a searchable source for grant opportunities in a wide range of disciplinary fields..
Some federal, state or non-profit agencies limit the number of proposals that can be submitted by an individual institution like LSU. These are known as Limited Submissions and we have specific rules and processes to decide how these proposals are handled.
