Computing Resources

LSU has a rich collection for computational resources focused on research activities. HPC @ LSU is a collaboration between the Center for Computation & Technology (CCT) and the Information Technology Services (ITS), providing access to a collection of high-performance computing systems, high-speed networks and data storage.

HPC @ LSU provides regular training sessions to help enable faculty move their research to a computational platform. Topics of recent workshops have included programming for GPUs, parallel programming, CPU-specific programming (e.g. Xeon Phi), Linux OS, LaTeX, and MPI/OpenMP programming.

Through the Louisiana Optical Network Initiative (LONI), LSU faculty have access to resources on the Internet2 high-speed network.  LONI also provides access to computational resources throughout the state as well as on the national HPC network, Xsede.

Contact ITS, or read the GROK article to learn how to get access to these resources.
