2007 National Survey
Results
Using the model of the annual Louisiana Survey, the Reilly Center
conducted a national survey to provide a snapshot of how people who live
outside of Louisiana view our state. The results are promising and
offer the opportunity to focus on our strengths and areas where we need
to build national awareness. Respondents gave Louisiana high marks for
its food, music, variety of things to do, and its friendly people.
Louisiana’s wetlands are important to America with 48% saying they had
either read or heard about the issue of wetlands loss. Respondents were
not aware of our pivotal role in oil and gas production, the seafood and
