 We here at LSU UREC pride ourselves on keeping a clean, functional facility that caters to our patrons’ needs. One of the more important ways we keep our facility so functional is making sure only our members have access to the facility.
As of Tuesday, January 20, 2009, LSU UREC will be closing the UREC SRC Field Complex gates each day beginning at 4:00 p.m. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused to those who use this walkway, but we want to ensure that our student population will have prioritized access to our facility.
We must guarantee our students and members who pay to access the LSU facilities, fields, and courts are able to do so with ease. With the side gate opened, we are unable to adequately ensure our patrons the ease they deserve.
So, in an interest to serve our members, protect our liability, and ensure overall safety of those within UREC facilities, we have adopted the following policy:
LSU UREC will close the side gates adjacent to the north side of the UREC Student Recreation Center Monday through Friday beginning at 4:00 p.m. The gate will remain closed Saturday and Sunday all day. The gate will be opened nightly 30 minutes prior to the closure of the UREC Student Recreation Complex, per published hours, for ease of exit by members and guests. Access to the UREC Student Recreation Field Complex will be limited to the main entrance of the UREC Student Recreation Center during these periods. As always, UREC Administration reserves the right to verify membership at any time within UREC facilities and programs.
