All currently enrolled, full-time LSU students are eligible to use LSU UREC by presenting their Tiger Card at the entry station. UREC fees are included in the full-time tuition-fee bill paid directly to the Office of Bursar Operations at the current Student Rate.

PART-TIME LSU STUDENT

Part-time students (in summer semester this is equal to those enrolled in five or less hours) are eligible to purchase a UREC summer membership at the current Student Rate. CONTINUING LSU STUDENT   Summer Only

LSU students who were enrolled full-time during Spring 2009 and have registered for classes in Fall 2009 are eligible to purchase a UREC summer membership at the Continuing Student rate. Students must present a copy of their Fall 2009 schedule with their LSU Tiger Card at the time of purchase.

INCOMING LSU STUDENT      Summer Only

Incoming LSU students, who are registered for classes in Fall 2009, are eligible to purchase a UREC summer membership at the current Incoming Student rate. A state-issued photo ID and copy of the student’s fall schedule is needed at the time of purchase.

Students of other universities who have returned to the Baton Rouge area for the summer are eligible to purchase a UREC membership at the Summer Student Affiliate rate. A valid college ID and valid state-issued ID are needed at the time of purchase.

STUDENT MEMBERSHIP NOTES
Co-Op students who are working per an official agreement may purchase a membership at the rate of a full-time student for that semester. A letter of verification must be presented to purchase a membership.

LSU medical students who are completing their internship or rotation requirements at a hospital in Baton Rouge are eligible for membership at the rate of a full time student for that semester. LSU Med Students must show their LSU Med badge at the time of application for membership.

LSU FACULTY/STAFF

LSU Faculty/Staff can enjoy the convenience of state-of-the-art equipment combined with an on-campus location by joining UREC.  Faculty/Staff can purchase their UREC membership by visiting UREC Guest Services and presenting their TigerCard.

MEMBERSHIP NOTE:  Upon termination of employment, individuals will no longer be eligible to maintain membership.

Motivate Friends & Family with UREC’s Plus 1

You do not have to be alone in your pursuit of a healthy lifestyle.  Many people are motivated by working out with a friend or family member.  UREC’s PLUS 1 membership allows a UREC faculty/staff member to extend their membership rate to one person of their choosing. This guest/member does not need to be LSU affiliated beyond their sponsor.  Sponsor must hold a valid UREC membership. 

• Faculty/staff who are current UREC members may extend a membership to one person of their choice.
• The rate is equivalent to the faculty/staff rate.
• The faculty/staff member must be present to sign up and renew their sponsored guest membership.
• The sponsored guest must present a valid photo ID.
• The length of the membership may not exceed that of the faculty/staff sponsor.
