Is there a cost? Where do I sign up? There is a $50 Entry Fee for team sports and a $5 fee for individual sports. Registration takes place in the SRC Classroom 1 on Mondays-Thursdays 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Who can play Intramural Sports? Any individual that has a valid UREC membership and ID, which you must present prior to each contest.
Do I need a team to play? If you do not already have a team, it doesn't mean you have to miss out. Through our free agent program, you can be placed on a team and meet new friends! There is a $5 fee to play as an individual.
How do I sign up for a team that already exists? A Roster Addition form needs to be signed by the individual that would like to be added to the team. Once this form is filled out it can be taken to the Intramural Office. These additions need to be in by NOON of the day that team plays or by NOON on Friday if your team plays on Sundays.
Can I play on more than one team? Yes you can, as long as they are not two of the same teams in a specific division.
How long does the season last? In team sports, each team is scheduled to play 4 games per regular season. Once the season is over, a single elimination tournament will take place with the teams that have a .500 winning percentage or better. Team sports are played Sunday through Thursday. Throughout the week, games are played from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Where are the games played? All Intramurals are played at the SRC [complex & fields] or at the SAC.
Can I work for Intramurals? Most definitely. We are always looking for great officials to referee our events and scorekeepers to keep score. There are training sessions for officials before each of the team sports begin. Contact UREC’s Training & Development office (578-8371) or urec@lsu.edu to learn more about UREC employment.
Where can I get more information? If you are unable to find what you are looking for feel free to call UREC Intramural Sports at 225-578-2669 or e-mail urec@lsu.edu.
