Possible divisions within each league are listed below. Not all leagues/divisions exist for every activity and the number of teams required to create a division will vary, depending on the sport and field availability.
Men’s Gold League // Men’s Purple League // Women’s League // CoRec League
MEN’S GOLD LEAGUE The GOLD league will not always be offered and is highly competitive in nature and only experienced teams are encouraged to register. The playoffs are limited to teams with a .500 record or better and all teams will be assigned times and opponents based on winning %, sportsmanship rating, and points allowed . Participants in this league may participate on only one team. Teams in this league are eligible to represent LSU at extramural contests.
Men’s Open: This league is comprised of teams consisting of eligible male members of undergraduate/graduate students, male faculty/staff members, and male UREC members.
Men’s Greek: This league is comprised of teams representing eligible male fraternity members. The fraternity must be in good standing with the University, Dean of Students Office and the Intramural Program. All team members must be active members of their representative fraternity.
MEN’S PURPLE LEAGUE The PURPLE league will always be offered and consists of the majority of competitors. This league offers both a competitive and a recreational component in playoffs when enough teams are registered. All teams are eligible for playoffs and will choose their time and opponent in the playoff brackets. Participants in this league may participate on only one team. Teams in this league are not eligible to represent LSU at extramural competitions if a GOLD league is offered.
Men’s Open: This league is comprised of teams consisting of eligible male members of the undergraduate/ graduate students, male faculty/staff members, and male UREC members.
Men’s Greek: This league is comprised of teams representing eligible male fraternity members. Men’s Grad/Faculty/Staff: This league is comprised of teams consisting of eligible male members of the graduate students, male faculty/staff members, alumni, and Plus 1 members that hold current UREC memberships.
Men’s Residence Hall: This league is comprised of teams consisting of eligible male members living in the residence halls on campus.
WOMEN’S LEAGUE This league will offer both a competitive and a recreational component in playoffs when enough teams are registered. All teams are eligible for playoffs and will be able to choose their time and opponent in the playoff brackets. Participants in this league may participate on only one team. Teams in this league are eligible to represent LSU at extramural contests.
Women’s Open: This league is comprised of individuals/teams consisting of eligible female members of the undergraduate/graduate students, female faculty/staff members, and female UREC members.
Women’s Greek: This league is comprised of teams representing eligible female sorority members. The sorority must be in good standing with the University, Dean of Students Office and the Intramural Program. All team members must be active members of their representative sorority.
COREC LEAGUE This league will offer both a competitive and a recreational component in playoffs when enough teams are registered. All teams are eligible for playoffs and will be able to choose their time and opponent in the playoff brackets. Participants in this league may participate on only one team. Teams in this league are eligible to represent LSU at extramural contests.
