Are you the best flag football team at LSU? LSU UREC is hosting the 2009 UREC Gridiron Challenge sponsored by Quaker State, a flag football tournament between teams of three competing for the ultimate prize: to compete at the SEC Fanfare in Atlanta, GA against the best teams from other SEC schools and tickets to the SEC Football Championship game as well as a travel assistance package.

The UREC Gridiron Challenge will begin the evening of Monday, Nov. 9 and includes both a men’s and women’s division. Each team will boast a four person roster with three players on the field at any given time. Registration is $10 per team and will be held November 2 - 5 at UREC SRC Guest Services.

If you are interested in playing, download the registration form and bring the completed form to the Guest Services desk at the UREC Student Recreation Center. Remember, all team members must sign the roster before registration. The first 25 teams to register will receive Gridiron Challenge t-shirts.

Eligibility:
All participants of the Gridiron Challenge must be currently enrolled at Louisiana State University. Participants cannot be a varsity athlete of any sport or on any type of athletic scholarship. Each team must consist of at least three players with a maximum of four players. There will be a Men’s and a Women’s division, the winner of each wins a trip to represent LSU at the 2009 SEC Football Championship FanFare in Atlanta, GA.

Punt, Pass, & Kick

Cost: FREE
Roster: Individual
Format:
Each contestant will punt, pass, and kick. The best score from each round will be totaled for a final score. Accuracy counts!

Sand Volleyball Tournament

Co-Rec Tournament
November 10, 2009
Begins at 5 pm.

Registration: November 2 - 5, 2009Z
Register early as the tournament is limited to 12 teams!

Cost: $10 per team
Roster: 3 min / 20 max
Format:
Teams will consist of 4 person, co-rec teams. Teams must have at least one female on the court at all times, with a minimum of three people to play.

Teams will be placed in three team pools for round robin play. Each contest is one game to 25 points winning by 2. All teams will advance to a single elimination bracket; teams will play at least 3 games during the tournament.

Register early as the tournament is limited to 18 teams!

Cost: $10 per team
Roster: 6 min / 20 max
Format:
Teams will consist of 6 person, co-rec teams, with at least 2 of them being female. Teams may play with 4 players.

Teams will be placed in three team pools for round robin play. Each contest is best 2 of 3 series. Top two teams from each pool will advance to a single elimination bracket; teams will play at least 2 matches during the tournament.
