USCIS now reviews immigration visa petitions for a same-sex spouse

(Aug. 2, 2013 | USCIS) - After the Supreme Court’s verdict in June, 2013, that the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) is unconstitutional, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has begun to accept and review “immigration visa petitions filed on behalf of a same-sex spouse in the same manner as those filed on behalf of an opposite-sex spouse.”
