
Internship:
Massachusetts Mental Health Center (MMHC) at Harvard Medical School and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC)
Distributed time between Prevention and Recovery in Early Psychosis (PREP), a clinic servicing clients who recently experienced a first episode of psychosis, and the MMHC Outpatient Department. Clients are primarily individuals with Severe Mental Illness, the majority of whom have a Schizophrenia-spectrum disorder diagnosis. Clinical responsibilities included: conducting multifamily, family, long-term individual, and group therapy using a recovery-based approach; as well as providing neuropsychological evaluations. Participation in ongoing research studies (including manuscript preparation and data analysis) with the HMS faculty. Orientation of faculty has a wide-range of treatment approaches, with a primary concentration on Cognitive Behavioral Therapies (CBT) and Psychodynamic therapies.
Fellowship:
Center for Early Detection, Assessment and Response to Risk (CEDAR) Clinic at Harvard Medical School and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center
Primary responsibilities of position 1) conducting family and long-term individual therapy, 2) assessment of individuals at risk for psychotic disorders, 3) designing and conducting research studies at the PREP and CEDAR clinics, and 4) participating in the North America Prodromal Longitudinal Study (NAPLS), a multi-site study assessing individuals at risk for psychosis. Other responsibilities will include participation in ongoing research with HMS faculty. Orientation of faculty is primarily CBT.
