RESEARCH INTERESTS:

My laboratory focuses on understanding how emotional and neurocognitive abnormalities contribute to social dysfunction in schizophrenia. Current projects include the following:

Developing sophisticated measures of key negative symptoms using computerized analysis of natural speech.
Clarifying how emotion abnormalities vary across the heterogeneous manifestations of schizophrenia.
Disentangling the relative contributions of motivational and neuropsychological factors for understanding long-term social dysfunction in schizophrenia.
Examining the relationship between negative symptoms and stress-reactivity in patients with schizophrenia and individuals at risk for developing the disorder.
