Shelton
Dr. Jill Talley Shelton received her
PhD in Cognition from LSU in 2008. She is currently
a post-doctoral fellow at Washington University in St.
Louis, working with both Dr. Dave Balota on aging research
and Dr. Mark McDaniel on prospective memory.

Dr. Dennis R. Combs is an Assistant
Professor of Psychology at The University of Texas at
Tyler. Dr. Combs’ expertise is in the assessment
and treatment of schizophrenia and psychotic disorders.
He has published over 40 research articles and book
chapters on schizophrenia, and his research has been
funded the National Institute of Mental Health. Dr.
Combs received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from
Louisiana State University in 2002 and was a faculty
member at the University of Tulsa from 2002 to 2007.

Dr.Bill Sallas
Dr. Bill Sallas received his Ph.D.
in Cognitive Psychology in 2008. While at LSU, he was
a member of the Mathews lab in the Office of Applied
Cognition. There he worked on a wide variety of projects
from basic research on human learning in the laboratory
to applied work in area schools and hospitals. Dr. Sallas
now serves as the Vice President of Research for Prevail
Health Solutions, a Chicago area firm providing online
behavioral health solutions. In this role he writes
NSF and NIH grants, maintains relationships with mental
health researchers, and manages internal research projects.
Dr. Sallas credits the LSU Psychology Faculty with preparing
him for the challenges of working as a psychologist
in an industry setting.

Dr. Jeff Starns received his PhD in
Cognitive Psychology from LSU in 2006, under the direction
of Dr. Jason Hicks. He was then awarded a post-doctoral
fellowship at Ohio State University, working with Dr.
Roger Ratcliff. He will be joining the faculty at the
University of Massachusetts-Amherst as an assistant
professor, where he will continue to explore his research
interests in formal models of memory and memory for
source information.
Natalie Bourgeois Caldwell earned her Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology in 2007. Dr. Bourgeois works as an
internal consultant in Organizational Effectiveness at The Home Depot in Atlanta, GA. In her current role she leads
the design and analysis of online surveys conducted internally, conducts the enterprise-wide employee engagement survey, conducts job analysis,
designs selection tools, conducts validation studies for selection tools, runs assessment centers, and conducts executive assessments.
Keith McCook earned
his Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology in
2002. Dr. McCook is a Manager of Consulting Services
for Assess Systems. He has over 10 years experience
in personnel assessment, development, test construction
and validation, and the design of integrated selection
processes. In addition to US client management responsibilities,
he is responsible for European market activities for
Assess Systems, and regularly travels to these markets
for training and marketing support of a broad-based
distribution network. He is also actively engaged in
research activities dealing with international adaptation
of psychometric assessment tools. He is a licensed psychologist
in the state of Texas and a Chartered Psychologist in
the United Kingdom.
Bobby Baker earned his Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology in 1999.
Dr. Baker is a Vice President at Corvirtus. He specializes in both individual and organizational assessment methodologies.
Dr. Baker is an expert in employee selection, organizational measurement, customer service assessments, and survey design.
Additionally, he develops and analyzes complex employee testing models to ensure both their effectiveness and compliance with legal requirements. Committed to providing customers leading edge, assessments, Dr. Baker conducts ongoing research on processes and techniques relevant to selection, performance evaluation, surveys, and applied statistics. Prior to joining Corvirtus, Dr. Baker designed and delivered training programs at the Albemarle Corporation. He was involved in the implementation of leadership development programs and in the design and analysis of performance appraisal instruments. Dr. Baker was also a Measurement Specialist at Intellinex, LLC (a wholly owned subsidiary of Ernst & Young, LLP),
where he evaluated training programs and developed appropriate testing procedures to ensure their usefulness.
Paul Damiano earned his Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology in 1994. Dr. Damiano has previously worked SSA Consultants in Baton Rouge from 1994-1999, and was on the faculty at Center for Creative Leadership in Greensboro, N.C. from 1999-2006. From 2006 - present, he has been President of Good Works Consulting (www.creategoodworks.com),
which is a leadership and organizational development consulting company he founded in Greensboro, N.C.
