LSU SMOKE STUDY

Do you use marijuana?

Do you use marijuana to feel less anxious?

Do social situations make you nervous or uneasy?

             If so, does smoking marijuana help?

 


The purpose of this research project is to learn about thoughts, feelings, and behaviors associated with using marijuana. If you use marijuana, you could be eligible to participate in this research study and receive up to $300 in compensation!

 

This study includes:

 - An interview about thoughts, feeling, & behaviors related to drug use

 - Self-monitoring of factors related to drug use for about 2 weeks.

 

If you are between the ages of 18 and 45 and currently use marijuana, you may be eligible. Participation in this study is completely confidential.

 

BDNF  STUDY

Have you experienced a serious traumatic event?

Do you think you may have PTSD?

Are you interested in how exercise can improve

mood & anxiety?

 

The purpose of this study is to evaluate if exercise improves post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptoms. If you are eligible to participate in this research study, you may receive up to $75 in compensation.

 

This study includes:

-Visit 1 at our clinic on LSU’s main campus that includes a discussion of thoughts, feelings, & behaviors

-Visit 2 at Pennington Biomedical Research Center that includes a treadmill test & having your blood drawn.
