CHOICES
We are pleased to announce that as part of our ongoing work and collaboration with the Addictive Behaviors Research Center at the University of Washington, we will now offer CHOICES in addition to BASICS in the treatment of high-risk college student drinkers. CHOICES About Alcohol: A Brief Alcohol Abuse Prevention Program (Marlatt & Parks, 2010), or just simply CHOICES, is the most recent outgrowth of the Alcohol Skills Training Program, and incorporates core curriculum of basic alcohol information, cognitive-behavioral skills training, and motivational interviewing techniques. The delivery vehicle of CHOICES is a structured and experiential writing process known as Interactive Journaling®, which guides and motivates students toward positive life change.
