Demo can be used to calculate the buoyant force acting on body submerged into fluid.

Hang a cylindrical mass from a spring scale as shown in the figure. Note the scale reading. Submerge the mass by raising the beaker with a lab jack. Note the scale reading. Find the weight of the displaced liquid and show that it is equal to the difference in the scale reading or find how much the water rises in the beaker after completely submerging the weight in the beaker.
