When applying to LSU as a freshman, you must submit the following materials.

  • Complete the application for undergraduate admission by the appropriate deadline. (See Admissions Deadlines.)
  • Submit the nonrefundable application fee ($40 payable online, by bank draft or credit card).
  • Include your e-mail address on your application. This enables the Office of Undergraduate Admissions to communicate with you regarding your application. Remember to check this e-mail account regularly.
  • Submit the Proof of Immunization Compliance Form.
  • Submit your official ACT or SAT test scores to LSU. When taking the test, indicate that the testing agency report your scores directly to LSU. (The ACT code is 1590; the SAT code is 6373.)

*Most Louisiana high schools are now submitting electronic transcripts to the State Department of Education. Once your application for admission is submitted, LSU can request an electronic copy of your high school transcript from the State Department of Education. If you have any questions, your guidance counselor can verify your school's participation in this program.
