Potential AGRI students are either admitted directly into AGRI once their University admission requirements have been met, from the University College Center for the Freshman Year, or from another senior college. Admission requirements are as follows: a 2.00 GPA on all work taken AND a grade of “C” or better in both ENGL 1001 & MATH 1021. AGRI will review admissibility of any students previously enrolled in the college regardless of their deficit.

Admission to the College of Art & Design has changed. Potential ADSN students must have earned 24 semester hours in courses numbered 1000 & above with a 2.00 GPA on all work taken (LSU and overall) and they must be applying to a specific major. No Design-undecided applicants will be considered. Students interested in architecture, studio art, interior design, and landscape architecture must be admissible to each individual school. Selective admissions is based on high school gpa and ACT/SAT scores. In addition, applicants to the studio art program must also submit a portfolio of original work to the School of Art. This applies to new freshmen applicants and to transfer students.
Architecture: New Freshmen will be coded UCFY 1 DESR when admitted.
ART: New Freshmen will be coded UCFY 1 DESS.
Interior Design: New Freshmen will be coded UCFY 1 DESD.
Landscape Architecture: UCFY 1 PLA. The school or department will determine the extent to which transfer credits are to be accepted within a specific discipline for placement, or level, within the curriculum. Also, Art History is not in ADSN, it is one of the liberal arts options in A&S. ADSN will review admissibility of any students previously enrolled in the college regardless of their deficit.

Potential BASC students must have 24 semester hours in courses numbered 1000 & above w/a 2.00 GPA on all work taken (LSU & overall). Students must have earned a “C” or better in ENGL 1001, passed all math & science courses w/a grade of “C” or better & have credit in MATH 1022 or 1023 or 1550 or 1551 w/ a minimum grade of “C”. In addition to our current admission requirements, to be admitted to BASC for BIOL, BCH or MBIO, a student must have credit in Biol 1201,Biol 1202, Chem 1201 and Math 1550 with grades of C or higher. Those students interested in Secondary Education (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) must have a 2.5 gpa in order to be admitted into those respective programs. BASC will review admissibility of any students previously enrolled in the college regardless of their deficit.

Potential BADM students must have earned 30 semester hours of course work, including the pre-business core (Accounting 2001, Economics 2000, ISDS 1100, Mathematics 1021, and Mathematics 1431) and English 1001. Applicants must have earned at least a "C" grade in English 1001. Admission is competitive. Students who have completed the above requirements will be admitted on space available basis w/ higher GPA's considered first. If denied, students may reapply in a subsequent semester. Enrollment
for BADM is extremely high &admission below a 3.0 is not anticipated. If a student is not admissible immediately upon transferring, it probably would be in the student's best interest to advise them to consider another major.

Potential teacher education students must have earned 24 semester hours with a 2.20 GPA on all work taken (LSU and overall). Elementary/K-12 education majors with 75 credit hours earned or more need a 2.50 GPA on all work taken (LSU and overall). For kinesiology majors in all concentrations, the GPA requirement is 2.5 (LSU and cumulative) with 24 hours earned. All kinesiology students must have advanced placement in, credit for, or a grade of "C" or better in Engl 1001 (1004) and Math 1021 (1020) and 1022, and Biol 1201, 1208, 1202 (1502), and 1209 (1509). EDUC will review admissibility of any students previously enrolled in the college regardless of their deficit.

Students must have a 2.25 or better GPA to be admitted unconditionally to the Bachelor of Music Education degree program. Transfer students must complete the above requirements. All students desiring to enter the Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Music Education, and Bachelor of Arts in Music degree programs must successfully complete an audition prior to their admission into the college – those students should be coded UCFY or UCAC Pre-music. The Bachelor of Arts in Theatre does not require an audition. THTR majors (freshmen, transfer) should be admitted directly into MDA.
