Visit the Campus

The campus tour is the best way to experience LSU. We encourage you to tour the campus with your family and friends.

Tours begin with an enrollment session inside Memorial Tower at 10 a.m. every weekday, excluding holidays. Following the session, tour guides will lead a walking tour of the University that will showcase LSU's "oaks and arches" and the main academic areas of campus. In the afternoon, you will have an opportunity to visit and explore various departments and colleges on campus, including our residence halls.

You are advised to schedule a tour at least two weeks before your visit. There are two main ways to schedule a tour:

Upon receipt of your reservation, a confirmation letter, a map, and directions will be mailed to you.

Make the most of your visit

  • Tour the campus housing facilities. The Department of Residential Life offers two tours each weekday, excluding holidays. The first tour begins at 1:30 p.m., and the second begins at 3 p.m. Reservations are not necessary. All tours begin promptly at the Department of Residential Life's main office, 99 Grace King Hall.
  • Take in an event. Whether you want to enjoy the arts, partake in a lecture, or cheer for the Tigers, there's always something to do at LSU. A complete listing of campus events is available on the Campus Calendar.
  • Grab a bite to eat. Louisiana is known for it's culinary delights, and there are several great offerings at campus eateries. And, satisfy your sweet tooth with homemade ice cream from the LSU Dairy Store.
  • Explore the campus on your own. Free guidebooks, available at the Visitor's Center, will help you to further enjoy the beauty and history of LSU.
