Tigers on the Geaux- TOTG
Welcome to the LSU Alumni Student Recruitment website! We view our alumni as an integral part of the recruiting process, as you allow the University to be represented throughout the nation at various recruitment events and activities. Depending on your interests, you can attend college fairs, host receptions, call and write postcards to students, and even meet with high school guidance counselors through a new program called Tiger Tracks. By becoming a TOTG member, you can share your wonderful LSU experiences with prospective students and their families in your community. Providing your unique perspective as a LSU alumnus/a is a key component of this program!
One important way to get involved in TOTG is by attending college fairs in your area which provide high school students an opportunity to obtain information from institutions of higher learning. We will register you for these programs, train you, and send you all necessary materials. You will be responsible for being present at the program, distributing brochures and other materials, answering questions from students and parents about LSU, and most importantly, representing your alma mater!
As we expand our recruiting efforts, we have implemented a new program called Tiger Tracks, in which we are asking you to visit three high schools twice a year to meet with the guidance counselors at those schools. We would like you to visit each of the three schools once in the fall and once in the spring. You will be responsible for contacting each of the schools and setting up your own appointments. At these visits, you will be asked to introduce yourself to the counselors and exchange contact information, administer LSU materials, find out if the school has a college fair, and just express to them that LSU does indeed have a presence in your respective area. With this endeavor, we can truly expand LSU's footprint across the country!
