Sustainable Transportation

 

Louisiana State University is dedicated to promoting campus sustainability and improving the environment. LSU Parking & Transportation Services has made the commitment to provide a variety of options in terms of transportation for the LSU community to travel to and from campus in a sustainable, eco-friendly way.

Bicycles

If you believe your bike was towed from an illegal parking place or from a bike rack on-campus contact the Office of Parking & Transportation Services at 225-578-5002.

Campus Transit

The Campus Transit service provides door-to-door service 7 days a week , 5:30 p.m. – 12 a.m. to and from any location on campus.

Electric Vehicle Charging

LSU has three (3) electric vehicle (EV) charging stations throughout campus which were installed as part of a grant from Entergy 2011.

Geaux Ride

LSU has partnered with the Capital Region Planning Commission (CRPC) to help promote Geaux Ride, a ride-sharing app aimed at connecting carpoolers to reduce the number of cars in Baton Rouge.

 Tiger Trails

The LSU Tiger Trails Transit System is a safe, convenient, and free bus service for LSU students, faculty, staff, and visitors, both on and off campus. LSU contracts with First Transit to provide this service.

ZipCar

LSU has partnered with ZipCar, the world's leading car sharing network, to place five vehicles on campus for students, faculty, and staff that are 18 years of age or older.
