Resources

Units that choose to use their own original photograph or clip art should remember to use high-resolution files to ensure image clarity. (High-resolution files measure at least the size you wish them to appear at 300 dpi or higher). For Web sites, low-resolution images (at 72 dpi) should be used.

Always obtain written permission from the owner of an image whenever using photograph or graphics that neither you nor the Office of Public Affairs provided. This rule applies to images captured from other Web sites.

*RECOMMENDATION: When producing general LSU pieces, try to use a mix of images representing academics, athletics, landscape, Mike the Tiger, research, and service-learning.

The Office of Public Affairs has a large database of campus photos available. Contact Jim Zeitz at jzietz@lsu.edu or (225) 578-3824 for more information.
