The Brand


A consistent identity is a vital part of LSU's relationship with the public. Simple things like fonts, imagery, and colors, when used consistently, make for a stronger brand and add to the public's ability to identify LSU. By consistently producing high-quality, smart communications, we show our commitment to preserving the integrity of LSU and ensure audiences that the Louisiana Flagship University is a trusted, global, confident, and progressive institution now and in the future.

NOTE: The new standards were conceptualized by the LSU community and designed and organized by LSU graphic professionals. It is important to note that the new branding policy is not meant to serve as a "straitjacket." Rather it consists of guidelines and parameters by which the different entities that make up the University can help LSU present a unified brand.

Different departments and colleges market to different audiences; therefore, the LSU brand and imagery must be used consistently by all who implement and apply the identity.
