Logo Bar Instructions

The Logo Bar is required on all Webpages. This bar may be customized. If the bar is customized, the LSU Logo must appear as the dominant element. The design must be approved by the Office of Public Affairs. The bar consists of :

1. the LSU logo
2. a link to the LSU homepage.

To add the Logo Bar to your unit's Web site, you will need to:

1. Download the "Web Template" ZIP file containing all the items referenced in the instrutions below.
2. Copy the "images" directory and add it to the Web site's parent directory.*
3. Copy the "css" directory and add it to the Web site's parent directory.*
4. Add a link to the style sheet to your Web pages. See below for detailed instructions.
5. Add the div HTML to your Webpages. See below for detailed instructions.

*If you move the images or the style sheet into a different directory or alter the filenames being referenced. Remember to adjust the IMG SRC and/or HREF accordingly.

Style Sheet HTML

In order for the styles to work properly, add the style sheet link to the document HEAD. You may copy the style sheet below to an existing style sheet document in your Web site.

Div HTML

The Logo Bar is set up in a DIV to control the positioning. The bar is set to 760 pixels wide, allowing it to display properly on monitors set to a screen resolution of 800x600 or higher.

Logo Options

Twelve logo options are provided. The Logo Bar may be customized. If the bar is customized, the LSU Logo must appear as the dominant element. The design must be approved by the Office of Public Affairs.

If you are not using the option provided in "DIV HTML," remember to update the IMG SRC code.
