Acting Chancellor William Jenkins, along with the Office of Public Affairs, recognizes that there are many talented PR and Marketing professionals working within individual departments to promote their programs and achievements. As the LSU department dedicated to promoting the entire university, Public Affairs wants to join forces with these special people!
We know the most effective communication efforts flourish from those which are unified. This is why we have invited all staff responsible for the communications efforts within their department to join Campus Communicators. This group will meet at least once a semester to share ideas and talents, network with peers, and strive to make all LSU-related communications more unified. This will be a great opportunity for all campus departments to enhance their promotional efforts and increase the visibility of events, programs, and achievements.
The next Campus Communicators meeting will be held in Fall 2008. If you are interested in attending, please contact Michelle Spielman at mspielm@lsu.edu, so that we may save a seat for you.
