Excused Absences for Spring Invitational Attendees

The Board of Elementary and Secondary Education has certified the LSU Spring Invitational Program as an official academic activity. Therefore, your attendance at the Spring Invitational Program is an authorized excused absence and participation in the program will count as an excused absence from a Louisiana school.

While attending Spring Invitational, you will receive at least two personalized printed documents. Any one of the following could be used as verification of attendance:

  • Upon arrival, you will receive a personal exam schedule listing your exams, times, and locations.
  • Before departing on Friday, you will receive a placement sheet entitled "Profile of Academic Abilities" that will list your test scores, credits earned, and course placement.

In addition, students may stop by the Spring Invitational Center after class scheduling on Friday, April 16 and request an official letter from the Office of Orientation verifying their attendance at the program.
