Olympia Vernon, who earned a
Master of Fine Arts in
creative writing, wrote Eden,
Logic, and A Killing in This
Town
. She is currently working
on her fourth novel. Vernon’s
Eden, which she wrote while in
graduate school at LSU, was nominated
for a Pulitzer Prize, and won the
2004 Richard and Hinda Rosenthal
Award from the American Academy of
Arts and Letters. She won the
Ernest J. Gaines Award for Literary
Excellence for A Killing in This Town.
