Dr. Larry Arthur, who earned
a Doctor of Philosophy in
microbiology at LSU, is the
associate director of the AIDS
Vaccine Program at the National
Cancer Institute, where he serves
as the AIDS Vaccine Program
principle investigator. Arthur is
hopeful that his work will help
improve the quality of life for
those stricken by HIV/AIDS, and
hopes a vaccine will one day stop
the disease in its tracks.
