Dr. Larry Arthur, who earned
a Doctor of Philosophy in
microbiology at LSU, is the
associate director of the AIDS
Vaccine Program
at the National
Cancer Institute
, where he serves
as the AIDS Vaccine Program
principle investigator. Arthur is
hopeful that his work will help
improve the quality of life for
those stricken by HIV/AIDS, and
hopes a vaccine will one day stop
the disease in its tracks.
