LSU Alumni Association Names New Board Officers
BATON ROUGE – Susan Whitelaw, of Shreveport, La., and Randy Ewing, of Quitman, La., were named chair and chair-elect, respectively, of the LSU Alumni Association Global Board of Directors at the Annual Meeting and Past Presidents & Chairs Luncheon on Friday, Nov. 10. They will serve one year terms, beginning Jan. 1, 2018.
Whitelaw a partner in Whitelaw, Rice & Green CPAs, represents District 5. She was elected to the board in 2010. Ewing, a former Louisiana state senator and president of Ewing Timber, was also re-elected to a three-year term representing District 6. He joined the board in 2015.
Four other members were also re-elected for three-year terms, beginning Jan. 1, 2018:
- Kathy Fives, a business consultant in New Orleans representing District 2, was elected to the board in 2013;
- Karen Brack, of San Diego, an airborne electronic hardware engineer at Boeing Commercial Airplanes, at-large. She joined the board in 2015;
- Steve Brown, of Sherman, Oaks, Calif., a retired western U.S. sales manager, Sundyne LLC, at-large. He has been a board member since 2015;
- Brandon Landry, co-founder and co-owner of Last in Concepts and Walk-On’s Bistreaux & Bar, at-large. Landry was elected to fill an unexpired term in 2017.
