BATON ROUGE – The LSU Museum of Art will host its 10th Annual Fourth of July Celebration, “Red, White & the BLUES,” on Friday, July 4, from 7-10 p.m. at Tsunami, located on the sixth floor of the Shaw Center for the Arts, 100 Lafayette St., in downtown Baton Rouge.
The event and features live jazz, soul, blues and funk from Quiana Lynell, and guests can enjoy southern BBQ with a nouvelle twist along with soft drinks, beer, wine and well-brand alcohol. Those in attendance also have a front-row seat for the annual fireworks display over the Mississippi River, which takes place at 9 p.m.
Tickets are $125 each for LSU Museum of Art members, $150 for non-members and $50 ages five – 20. Children ages four and under are admitted for free. Tickets can be purchased by calling the museum at 225-389-7210 or online at www.eventbrite.com. Cost includes admission to the LSU Museum of Art from 7-8:30 p.m. to tour the “Visual Blues” exhibition. A portion of the ticket price is tax deductible and goes toward supporting the museum.
This is a rain-or-shine event. Tickets are non-refundable and all ticket sales are final.
