BATON ROUGE – LSU will host a forum titled “Internationalization and Education: Breaking
Boundaries” on Wednesday, Sept. 25, beginning at 9 a.m., in the Holliday Forum of
the LSU Journalism Building on campus. The forum will be free to attend and open to
“Internationalization and Education: Breaking Boundaries” will ask the tough questions
in a daylong discussion among scholars on the implications of globalization and education.
The forum is sponsored by the Manship School of Mass Communication’s Reilly Center
for Media & Public Affairs and the College of Human Sciences & Education’s Curriculum
Theory Project and French Education Project.
The symposium brings together scholars from universities around the world to examine
the implications of the intersections of globalization and education. Specifically,
it will discuss ideas related to human rights, difference, ethics and pedagogy in
an increasingly globalized and international world.
