BATON ROUGE – LSU Executive Education will offer a half-day program, titled “Navigating
the Affordable Care Act,” on Thursday, May 9, from 8 a.m. to noon. The event will
be held in room 1420 of the Business Education Complex at LSU.
According to LSU Executive Education Director Robin Kistler, a panel of legal, insurance
and economic development professionals will discuss the challenges of adhering to
the new requirements of the Affordable Healthcare Act and how these requirements will
affect employers and the economy.
Panelists include LSU Division of Economic Development Director Stephen Barnes, Regional
President of BancorpSouth Insurance Services/Wright & Percy Kerry Drake, Phelps Dunbar
LLP Partner Karleen Green and Client Compliance Vice President for BancorpSouth Insurance
Services/Wright & Percy Andy Impastato.
“We have brought together a very experienced group of speakers who are familiar with
the nuances of the Affordable Care Act,” Kistler said. “They are prepared to break
the act down into manageable and actionable pieces for participants.”
Registration for the event is $220 per participant. A discounted rate of $205 is available
