BATON ROUGE – Northwestern Mutual, a mutual company that helps people achieve financial
security, will host a jambalaya mixer that will also serve as a recruiting event at
LSU. Scheduled to be held Wednesday, Feb. 6, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in The Commons
on the first floor of The Rotunda in the Business Education Complex, the event is
open to all students interested in a finance, economics or marketing internship. Jambalaya
will be available for the first 100 students.
According to Lyndsey Tassin, a current intern for Northwestern Mutual, the company
offers a top 10, paid internship with shadowing and post-graduate opportunities.
“At the jambalaya mixer, students will have the chance to speak with our representatives,
network and exchange information,” Tassin said.
There is no need to RSVP for this mixer, but students who do wish to meet with Northwestern
Mutual representatives and get a free plate of jambalaya are advised to arrive as
soon as possible.
