BATON ROUGE – On Friday, Feb. 1, the LSU Board of Supervisors will hold their February
meeting. Items on the February meeting agenda include discussions on hospital operation,
amendments to LSU Football Coach Les Miles’ contract, the mid-year budget reduction,
online courses, and the Nicholson Gateway project.
During the Health Care and Medical Education Committee, it is anticipated that the
Board will be asked to consider additional new Memoranda of Understanding or amendments
to existing Memoranda regarding the operation of the hospitals.
The Academic and Student Affairs, Achievement and Distinction Committee will look
at an assessment structure for LSU Online, the one-year extension of the LSU Paul
M. Hebert Law Center Scholarship Authority and a B.F.A. degree in digital arts at
In the Finance, Infrastructure and Core Development Committee, consideration of the
2012-13 mid-year budget reduction will be discussed.
The Property and Facilities Committee will hear a presentation on the Master Plan
for the Nicholson Gateway, along with recommendation to approve a ground lease for
construction of the LSU Foundation Building, among other items.
The Athletic Committee will discuss the approval of amendments to the employment agreement

Committee sessions are scheduled to get underway at 1 p.m. in the Board Meeting Room
of the LSU System Building, 3810 West Lakeshore Drive, Baton Rouge. Committee meetings
will be followed immediately by the Board’s February meeting.
During the full Board meeting, a report from the Transition Advisory Team and the Presidential Search Committee will be heard. The LSU Presidential Search Committee will also meet at 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 1.
