BATON ROUGE – Baton Rouge native and fashion designer Anthony Ryan Auld, a 2010 graduate of the LSU College of Agriculture’s School of Human Ecology, will host a first-of-its-kind public viewing event for the season finale of Lifetime’s hit fashion design reality series “Project Runway All Stars,” on Thursday, Jan. 17, from 7-10 p.m. at the Capital Park Museum, 660 N. 4th St.
Auld is a top-four finalist on the program, which features designers who competed in previous “Project Runway” seasons. He originally competed on “Project Runway” during the program’s ninth season.
The event is being held in conjunction with Brother International and Lt. Gov. Jay Dardenne’s office.
Auld will be joined by fellow “Project Runway” designer Joshua McKinley. Prior to the episode screening, the two will present previews of their respective Fall/Winter 2013 collections. Auld will also reveal a special collaboration with the School of Human Ecology’s Textiles, Apparel Design and Merchandising program.
With his own fashion label Anthony Ryan, Auld creates fashion to inspire the modern woman with his clean lines, definitive shapes and bold fabric selections. Through innovative use of bright colors and simple shapes, Auld and his brand continue to bring the modern woman striking pieces that are current, yet amaranthine.
