BATON ROUGE – Noted marketing researcher and University of Washington John C. Narver
Endowed Professor in Business Administration Robert Palmatier will give a presentation
Tuesday, Nov. 6, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in room 1920 of the Business Education Complex.
Palmatier’s presentation will focus on relationship marketing theory and strategy
with an emphasis on customer relationships in business-to-business channel, service
and retail markets. The presentation is open to all students, faculty and staff.
According to William Black, Piccadilly Inc. Business Administration Business Partnership
Professor in the LSU Department of Marketing, Palmatier has quickly become one of
the most influential scholars in the field of relationship marketing.
“Since graduating from the University of Missouri in 2004, he has published more than
20 articles in this area, including two award-winning articles in the Journal of Marketing,”
Black said. “His work has been pivotal in both integrating and extending the relationship
Palmatier, in addition to being an area editor for the Journal of Marketing, sits
on the editorial review board of four major journals. He is also a member of two ad
hoc review boards and an ad hoc reviewer for four other publications. Additionally,
he has serve on a vast number of committees and panels, including as a member of NASA’s
Computing, Information, and Communications Advisory Group. Prior to joining the faculty
at the University of Washington in 2007, Palmatier was an assistant professor at the
University of Cincinnati for three years and a visiting professor at Northwestern
University before that.
