BATON ROUGE – Lenny Lemoine, president of the Lemoine Company, will be featured as
the final speaker in this fall’s LSU Flores MBA Program Distinguished Speaker Series.
Lemoine’s appearance will begin Friday, Dec. 2, at 9:30 a.m. in the auditorium of
the Business Education Complex, and will focus on the construction industry.
Lemoine, who received his bachelor’s degree from LSU in 1979, began his career in
Cottonport, La., as the administrative and financial manager of Cottonport Lumber
Company Inc. After the retail lumber yard assets of the company were sold, he became
the executive vice president and chief operating officer of the Cottonport Company
Inc., developing operational control systems for consistent growth management and
geographic diversification. The company relocated to Lafayette, La., in 1983, and
became the Lemoine Company LLC. In January 2001, Lemoine assumed his current title.
An active member of the Acadiana community, Lemoine is affiliated with numerous professional
and non-profit organizations. He has served as president and as a member on the board
of directors for the Pelican Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors. He serves
on the board of directors and executive committee for the Community Foundation of
Acadiana, Acadiana Marine Institute, Lourdes Hospital Foundation and Oakbourne Country
